In Politics, Google Bombing Takes Center Stage

Using Google as part of one’s marketing strategy is not uncommon. The use of search engine optimization (SEO) is a conventional practice for companies to control their online presence. But try adding competitive politics into the picture, and you get 'reverse SEO', or 'Google bombing'. 

In a unique twist to SEO, Chris Bowers, campaign director for the liberal Daily Kos blog, is digging up the dirt on 98 House Republican candidates, ‘rediscovering’ stories with negative sentiments to re-blog.
